The federal and Katsina state governments have been called upon to intervene in the mysterious disappearance of the Vice President of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Engineer Mannir Atiku Lamido.
In a statement released by the family of Engineer Lamido and signed by his son, Malam Abdullahi Balarabe, his family expressed worry over his disappearance.
The statement which revealed that Engineer Mannir had been missing since on the 23rd June, 2023 while on a trip from Katsina to Kaduna State, described him as a well respected and dedicated personality who is patriotic towards nation building.
It said in view of the lack of reasonable progress in the investigation even after the recovery of his car, phones and other belongings, 351 days after his diapoearance, it became necessary to call on the government and the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), to expedite action on the matter.
The statement urged the Federal and Katsina state governments including security agencies to take swift and decisive response to this crisis to ensure his safe return and prevent further harm.
