The Muslim Youth Foundation of Southern Kaduna (MYFOSKA) wishes to convey a message to our members and the general public regarding the planned protest in Nigeria. As an organization guided by the principles of Islam, we emphasize the importance of peace, mercy, and unity in times of hardship and unrest.
MYFOSKA stands in solidarity with the people of Nigeria in their call for improved governance and policies that will alleviate economic hardship and enhance the welfare of all citizens. We recognize the right of individuals to peacefully protest and express their grievances, as guaranteed by the Constitution of Nigeria.
However, MYFOSKA unequivocally condemns any form of violence, lawlessness, or destruction of property in the pretense of protest. Islam teaches us to be good ambassadors and law-abiding citizens, and as Muslims, we must adhere to these principles.
In light of the current situation, MYFOSKA urges our members to distance themselves from the protest and instead focus on invoking prayers, spreading hope, and extending hands of mercy and assistance to the needy. Islam forbids violence and disorderly conduct, particularly in protests against leaders.
We remind our community that engaging in peaceful and constructive actions, such as offering prayers, providing support to those in need, and promoting unity and understanding, are more in line with the teachings of Islam. By coming together in prayer and solidarity, we can seek solace and strength during challenging times.As an organization, MYFOSKA remains committed to working towards a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, where the rights and dignity of all citizens are upheld. We pray for a swift resolution to the current challenges facing our nation and for the well-being of all those affected.
